Well, it’s nearly a ‘wrap’ on 2019 – and it’s been an exciting year for #TeamPVL. There have been many highlights, but we’re pleased to share four of our favourite moments over the past twelve months.
Double award winner at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards 2019
Back in March, we attended the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards where we had been shortlisted as a finalist in three different categories. These are prestigious awards and it turned out to be a fantastic evening as we won Business of the Year 2019, sponsored and judged by Natwest, and our CEO Nick Broom won Business Person of the Year 2019, sponsored and judged by KPMG.
Nick Broom, CEO said “I am so proud of the PVL team and what we have been recognised for with these awards. We strive to be the best in not just the region, but our sector and around the world; these awards help confirm that we are moving in the right direction.”
Showcase retroreflective livery
In June and September, we attended different emergency services exhibitions where we designed and fitted striking showcase retroreflective livery to brand new vehicles as a demonstration of our templating, design, manufacturing and fitting expertise.
We’ve fitted this livery to a brand new BMW M5, Ford Ranger Raptor and a BMW i8 using very tight tolerances of 3mm gaps between the high-performance retroreflective panels. The livery looked amazing and the feedback and reaction from stand visitors was tremendous.
New PVL van fleet dressed with innovative printed reflective livery
In October, we purchased a new PVL van fleet, comprising two Ford Transit Connects, a Ford Transit Custom and an (all-electric) Nissan E-NV200. This was a perfect opportunity to showcase our new reflective livery printing technology, which presents a different image in daytime to when reflected by a light source at night. It combines enhanced branding visibility with increased road safety.
The new livery has had a fantastic reaction and we’re already seeing significant interest in applying this printing technology across our customers’ fleets. Please contact us for more details.
New facilities to support continued growth
We’ve almost outgrown our current Burgess Hill site so in November, we took on additional premises close to our current location. This more than doubles our current floorspace providing significant additional manufacturing and office capacity.
We’re in the process of setting-up the new facility for production and should be fully operational early in the new year. Watch this space for more news!
