Print and supply materials for wrapping Aston Martins featuring at the Saudi Arabia F1 GP
PVL CEO Nick Broom has been working with contacts in the Middle East for many years and have supplied hundreds of reflective vehicle kits into multiple organisations across the region. This has given us extensive market and competitor landscape experience which led to a connection in Saudi Arabia.
Apex branding Engineering are branding experts, design research, product designers, qualified applicators and makers who create products the physical attraction and positive awareness of the brand.
Their particular requirement is for high-quality, well-produced (often reflective) materials to compete with locally sourced, low-grade offerings, particularly for higher end automotive promotion and marketing applications.
What we supplied
After working with the client on a couple of initial smaller projects, the exciting, challenging Aston Martin F1 project for wrapping Aston Martins appeared.
With very little time, and no access to a suitable vehicle to check dimensions, our team set about developing suitable artwork for the Aston DBX and Vantage models that were to be wrapped. Someone had previously tried and the results were, er, appalling!
Our team had to find a way to not only produce material that the fitting team in Jeddah could apply, but make it in small enough pieces to despatch it (there are limitations to the box size for shipping, so rolled goods were out of the question!)
“We have talked a lot in the three days; however, those were the main points to summaries this experience. I finally and again would like to thank PVL UK team and management for the support given. They made things a way easier, moreover very successful.” – Zaher
Results
In a couple of weeks, and with support from our partners WM Smith and Arlon Graphics we had not only carefully designed, printed, labelled and laminated the material, but shipped it and talked the remote team through the best way to approach the application.
It went without a hitch and the second vehicle followed, with a different design but similar process.
“Different than anything I have installed. The matt finish for DBX was stunning as a result, the colours looked vibrant and HD. I am surprised how much; the team and the client admired the matt look.” – Zaher Iyaso, President of Apex branding
The finished cars were used inside the British council to welcome the F1 guests including the AMF1 team and to collect AM top management and the F1 president from the airport to take them to their residence. The cars appeared in the F1 procession and around the street circuit at the F1GP, where the client was suitably delighted.
